PLLG Limited requires the client to recognise that reasonable, proportionate and timely payment for our services should not be an unmentionable subject.

Our aim is to make our fee structure understandable and transparent from the outset, thereby avoiding difficulties or misunderstanding in the future. In doing so it is important that the clients understand the nature and parameters of the services we envisage and provide in relation to each piece of work.

Every client and every matter is different. PLLG demonstrates flexibility in aiming to accommodate each relevant circumstance.

There are the following alternatives which can either be independent or used in combination.

• Time Charge – fees charged by reference to time spent. Payable on a monthly ongoing basis.

• Retainer – a fixed fee payable monthly guaranteeing a dedicated service, response, advice and support legal service. Fee relates to level of activity required and is reviewed at 3 month intervals. This provides a virtually seamless link between client and lawyer and gives a favourable discount to the time charge basis (see below).

• Case by case – fixed fees for specific defined work agreed in advance.

• Contingent – where some or most of the fees are end loaded to a particular result or conclusion. In such case a commitment fee is always required at the outset to demonstrate the seriousness and intent of the client.

Note - Expenses – unless otherwise specifically agreed, expenses paid out by us on a client's behalf in the performance of the services are to be reimbursed either in advance of payment or on presentation of our invoice in respect of such expenses.
